So yesterday I had another Monte Cristo sandwich at Bennigan's in Santa
Clara. Right now it is really the only place I know that serves such a
heart healthy sandwich. Somewhere along the Bay Area there has to be a
perfect Monte Cristo sandwich. I can't imagine a chain franchise being
the only place to enjoy one of these. There must be something closer
to home in SF. Anyone out there know of where a quality Monte
Cristo can be found?

A delicious combination of ham and turkey, plus Swiss and American cheeses on wheat bread. Lightly battered and fried until golden. Dusted with powdered sugar and served with red raspberry preserves for dipping.
